When add new folders and files in Daminion, we have the option to "greate categories from folder names".

Can we do the same action when rescan a existing Folder and import new files?

The idea behind this option is to preserve folder names when Uploading files.

 

When rescanning folders or importing files existing folder names will be preserved and you can search them via Quick Search and Advanced Searches.

 

So this option is redundant for the Rescan Folders command.
