mrwang
Hello, My pictures are located in a large folder tree on a network share and i have imported them into a net catalog on the server. A file manager/explorer is used to create new subfolders and to sort the pictures into these new folders. I would like Daminion to rescan for new subfolders. Is there a easier way than having to add each subfolder manually to the catalog? I would expect this from such a great software. Uwe
Hello mrwang, you can use the Auto-Rescan function. In the menu Catalog->Auto-Rescan Settings you have to define your preferences. Then you have to go to the Folder Panel/Folder Tree, select the top folder (all folders below the selected one will be scanned) right-click on the selected folder->Switch Auto-Rescan on Regards, Uwe

I have activated auto-rescan setting and set the top folder on auto rescan. Unfortunately the new created test folder did not appear in the daminion folder list. The function seems to detect only file changes but no folder changes. Have you tried it with folders? Best Regards/ Schöne Grüße Mrwang
Uwe
Did you refresh the folder tree? I haven't any problems.
mrwang
Did you refresh the folder tree? I haven't any problems. I clicked on the top folder and selected "refresh folders" Is there a special function to refresh the folder tree? Oh the Screenshot you see there is still one subfolder in the explorer window which is not available in the daminion folder list. I am using the latest Server/Standalove version of Daminion (4.0)

If so, then it should not appear in Daminion. Why clutter up a tree? Regards, ダムã¡ã‚ƒã‚“
Uwe
Hello, I guess we found the reason by a TV session last Friday. Daminion is running in "Parallels" and there was a access restriction to this folder. Regards, Uwe
