SergeS
Anybody knows how Daminion defines duplicates? I has been pleasantly surprised Daminion was able to find duplicated files with the same photos, but with different set of keywords, thank you, well done! Will Daminion be able to find duplicates if one of candidates resized, slightly cropped, color adjusted, etc?
Murat
The current duplicate detection algorithm compares visual parts of images, but ignores the metadata block. Picture should be 100% equals in order to be treated as duplicates. We think about improving this behaviour and mark different resized versions of the same image as duplicates but this in our future plans only. So, in other words, tags are ignored, but, theoretically, if only one pixel has been changed it will not be detected as duplicates, correct? And as a result - resized images are also not to be considered as dupicates, aren't they? P.s. Thank you for good product.
