GasEngine Posted May 5, 2015 Report Share Posted May 5, 2015 I want to import a complete drive but exclude 2 top folders from being indexed. Picasa can do this in exact the way i think it is best. Alexius Posted May 5, 2015 Report Share Posted May 5, 2015 If folders that you want to exlude have unique names and there you don't have another folders with the sames names you can add these folder names into your Exclusion list in your "Catalog > Import Filters > Ignore these files and folders" file mask. dobs Posted June 20, 2015 Report Share Posted June 20, 2015 Hi, Didnt want to start another thread as its related and thought i would also point out that if you do a F6 rescan it will also import your excluded folders, in my case im trying to exclude "_Rejected\" You also cannot exclude folders starting with a full stop "." e.g. ".picasaoriginals\" it pops up an error saying invalid exclude filter. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In the upcoming Daminion build you can exclude folders that contains the dot "." symbol and a minor bug with exluding folders will be fixed. I am using Build 1269 but i still have the problem wiht the import filter. I have added this string to the "Ignore these files and folders:" -> "!Auftrag; doc_ps_pdf" Still the "!Auftrag" folder gets scanned. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
