I am certainly not a professional photographer and my need for an asset management program arises from being an architect, who in his old age, has built an extensive archive of plans, illustrations and photographs pertaining to specific subjects.

With the unfortunate withdrawal of "Portfolio", I began searching for a similar platform and am very happy in finding it in "Daminion", which not only answers my needs for archiving, but is in many ways, superior to "Portfolio".

With the need to transfer data from one program to the other and not being acquainted with "Daminion", I found their support in setting up my first test catalogue excellent, friendly and supportive in guiding me through the process. Many thanks to Murat.

There must be a whole frustrated host of ex "Portfolio" users to whom I warmly recommend investigating "Daminion" as a worthy alternative.

Hi,

I too am happy with Daminion.

Am slowly digitizing my photos, going back to 1968, and family photos going back to the late 1800s.

Daminion does have a bit of a learning curve, and I'm progressing toward figuring it out.

Thanks and good health, Weogo
