Per-BKWine Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 Hi, Back after a long time away. :-) Coming to the question of appending text Description for multiple images at the same time. Murat previously kindly sent me this video that showed how to do it. Many thanks. This looks excellent! The video shows how to do it for "Title". However, the really important field is "Description". (It is keywords and Description that are used in most cases.) If I try the same thing with Description: - Use Assign Tag Preset - Enter "%description , bilbao" in the Description field to add "bilbao" to two images at once it does not work. What happens is that the text in Description becomes "churchription , bilbao". Before the command the Description was "church". What is added is "ription , bilbao" instead of just "bilbao". Any suggestions? Quote
Per-BKWine Posted August 10, 2014 Author Report Posted August 10, 2014 Ah, well, it seems the solution was simple...: Instead of using %description one should use only %desc. Quote
Per-BKWine Posted August 11, 2014 Author Report Posted August 11, 2014 I'm really glad you introduced that feature (or found a way to do it). To me it is very important. Hope you have documented it somewhere in the Help documentation. ;-) Perhaps you could think of making it more easily accessible and easy to use in the future? In Photo Supreme there's a little colour dot next to the field where you switch between oveerwrite / append / ... In Portfolio there is a very easy to use right-click on the image and choose what type of field update you want to do. Quote

A feature you can't find is the same as a feature that is not implemented. Added to the feature list. Quote
