Mammut Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 I wanted to change a Custom Tag because it was hierarchical, but I forgot to set the Multiple tag values option. So I deleted the Custom Tag and created it again with those two settings. I wanted to Rescan the folder, because the tags are all gone. And here comes the trouble, every time when I right click on a folder I always get an Object reference not set to an instance of an object error. I tried to change it back, deleted the Custom Tag and created it again only with the hierarchical option. No use. The same error every time. I restarted Daminion but the same error. I deleted all Custom Tags from the Catalog, but the same error. I completely broke that Catalog. I tried to Optimize it, but no use. I can't even Move files to another Catalog, Daminion moves the first file and after that it just stucks there without any progress, cancel does not work either, I had to kill the Daminion process in the taskman. I can reproduce the issue. I tried the whole thing again with an new, empty Catalog, I imported 1 new image (without any tags), I created a new Custom Tag, assigned some tags to the image, saved them, everything was working fine. And then I deleted and re-created the Custom Tag. There was the error right away at right click on the folder. Regards, mammut PS1: I get the error also when I want to quit Daminion. __________________________ PS2: the error code: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at PicaJet.Daminion.ClientCommon.TagSpecifiedTreeViewActions.AppendSpecifiedActions(IIndexedTag indexedTag, IList`1 indexedTagValues, IList`1 actions) in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\ClientCommon\Actions\TagSpecifiedTreeViewActions.cs:line 446 at PicaJet.Daminion.ClientCommon.Actions.IndexedTagTreeViewActionManager.AppendTagSpecified(ICatalogView catalogView, IList`1 indexedTags, IList`1 indexedTagValues, IList`1 actions) in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\ClientCommon\Actions\IndexedTagTreeViewActionManager.cs:line 594 at PicaJet.Daminion.ClientCommon.Actions.IndexedTagTreeViewActionManager.GetActionList() in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\ClientCommon\Actions\IndexedTagTreeViewActionManager.cs:line 221 at PicaJet.Daminion.ClientCommon.PicaJetEnginePresenter.CatalogIndexedTagsViewLaunchContextMenu(Object sender, LocationEventArgs e) in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\ClientCommon\Presenters\PicaJetEnginePresenter.cs:line 5401 at PicaJet.Daminion.GUIComponents.IndexedTagsTreeViewContainer.DoLauchContextMenu(Point p) in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\GUIComponents\Controls\IndexedTagsTreeViewContainer.cs:line 1162 at PicaJet.Daminion.GUIComponents.IndexedTagsTreeViewContainer.IndexedTagsTreeViewOnRightMouseClickNode(Object sender, MouseEventArgs e) in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\GUIComponents\Controls\IndexedTagsTreeViewContainer.cs:line 1155 at PicaJet.Daminion.GUIComponents.TreeViewWithStateControl.OnNodeMouseClick(TreeNodeMouseClickEventArgs e) in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\GUIComponents\Controls\TreeViewWithStateControl.cs:line 1462 at System.Windows.Forms.TreeView.WmNotify(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.TreeView.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5448 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- Daminion Assembly Version: 2.0.0.888 Win32 Version: 2.0.0.888 CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Daminion%20Software/Daminion/Daminion.exe ---------------------------------------- Quote
