Re-import keywords

Hi

 

I imported my photos before I found the setting in the preferences to read "." as a hierarchical keyword delimiter. I set it and re-scanned the photos, but all the keywords are still flat in Daminion.

 

How do I re-run the import please? I assume I have to clear the catalogue or uninstall and reinstall, what is the best approach?

*edit* I should add that I am migrating from ID Imager, if that is relevant.

Hi Ian,

 

Could you please select a few images, then right click and launch the "Item > Get Tags from File" command. Please note that the early imported keywords with dots should be removed manually from the tags tree.

 

Could you please also send me a sample file for testing with keywords that are separated by dots to support at daminion.net.

Hi, thanks for the reply. It looks like the embedded meta data in my images isn't as clean as I thought. I'll fix that and try again. I'll send the photos through when I know they're right.
