deanable
When the database grows large... 300 000 records and more AND you don't run Daminion client or Server on a Super Computer the queries from the quick search function times out before returning a result set. Most of the time I am looking for a specific file (searching by name) or a specific keyword (searching for a type of keyword). Can we consider having a quick search filter checkbox panel? Everytime you want to search (with a large database) you have to build an advanced query... Great software, you guys are doing awesome work. Me Gusta Mucho. Murat
We plan to add true Full Search capabilities to Daminion Server, that allows to use QuickSearch without limitation on a number of items in catalogs. But this feature will not appears before Q3'2012. The option you suggested can be added, but the similar option is existed in our feature list (it can be added soon). See below the screenshot with dropdown list with a range of selectable tags for searching.
