focus
Hey there! It's been a while after my Daminion usage. I updated it recently and re-scanned few folders. Now I have duplicate images there because of different metadata for the some reason (e.g. one file have 72 resolution, second 180, but both files are the same actually). If I try to select file and press CTRL+Enter (find in Explorer) - only one of two opens, second file is not found.3 But both can be viewed via built-n viewer. So how can I remove such not found files in batch mode? Thanks!
focus
Okay, I found some kind of solution for this - I just delete all files and re-import them into the catalog with Rescan folders feature. And all seems fine except big (~30+MB) videos (with .mp4 container in my case) should be tagged again since there is no .xmp files created for them (at the tagging phase) for the some reason (this is described here: https://daminion.net/user-forum/index.php?/topic/950-xmp-files-are-not-created-for-big-video-files/). If you saved your previous catalog it's possible to move the video files to a new catalog using the "Move To" menu. And it will preserves the catalog information of the moved items. Regarding to locating the offline files: this feature is not implemented yet. It can be implemented as a separate window with slow progress that will rescan all the imported files, check whether items are offline (probably mark them) and add them to the "Offline Items: present_time" tag. focus
Thanks for your answer, I needed this not to move video files from one catalog to another, but to remove duplicates I got after updating Daminion and re-scanning all folders. Solved this via all files deletion and re-importing with re-scan. Some videos still have no tags inside or in .xmp (the bug I reported in another post on forum) though, hope I'll be able to apply tags to all videos in future!
