Unlogical behavior in quickfilter

The new Daminion Version features a quickfilter in which I can type in parts of a searchterm. This is really a nice feature if you have lots of keywords.

However I find the behavior in that mode somewhat irritating:

If I click (without key modifiers) a term in the normal mode the previous selection is deleted and the newly clicked category is the only selected one.

If I want to combine the old selection with the new I need to hold a modifier (STRG).

Now this is completely different in the quickfilter.

If I already made a selection and click another keyword they are automatically combined with "OR". This probably makes sense but it completely different from the behavior in the normal view.

So I think the quickview also should dismis the previous selection and exclusively select the new one. This would be more consistent. Also the keywords should be selected by singeclick instead of doubleclick like users are used to from the other view.

To apply logical operators the keyboard modifiers could be used (eg. ALT=OR SHIFT=AND). Right now all (ALT, STRG and SHIFT) only seem to trigger NOT?

I hope this was more clear than my other post?

Kind regards

Frank

There are two different controls: ListView and TreeView. And they look differently.

Single click is works for small tag area (where radio button is located). If you click on the text area nothing happens (except changing the tag selection).

We can change the Ctrl hot key to Alt key to exclude equivocation.

Still usage and in particular modifiers should be equal in both controls not to confuse the user more than necessary ;)

Also I feel in default (without modifier keys) double clicking in the ListView should start over with a new selection. As said, this is done in TreeView so in ListView it should be the same anyway.

The second reason is that when I am searching for a term I usually do not want to combine keywords from the same result but more often want to check which results fetches the images I am looking for. So having to delete the previous selection is an extra (and in most cases unecessary) step.

Kind regards

Frank
