kingsfan
Hi, It seems you are using the XMP:aux:Lens tag to derive the Camera Lens Info field. Can you confirm? I want to make sure that my RAW images have the right tags to display the lens info correctly. Thanks.
Murat
Good questions! Unfortunately camera vendors (as Canon or Nikon) like to use EXIF in their sole discretion. For example Canon stores lens info in one of the ~15 different places in EXIF Maker Notes depending from the camera model. Daminion Mapping Rules for Lens Tags: 1. Try to get XMP:aux:Lens 2. If XMP:aux:Lens is empty try to get EXIF MakerNote Lens (using complex algorithms for various camera vendors) 3. If MakerNotes doesn't contain an info about lens Daminion tries to get the EXIF Lens field 4. If the EXIF Lens is empty or unavailable we try to compose Lens info based on Aperture/FocalLength info.
