REST-API: Retrieve and Sort Media Items

Hello,

 

I'm trying to use the REST-API to retrieve a set of media items (i.e. by mediaItemId) and sort the result by rating.

 

I know the documentation describes this "/api/mediaItems/search?tag=keywords&value=ananas&sortBy=rating" but this is very unspecific and it's not possible to get a set of media items by their id.

 

Another issue is that the rating of a mediaitem is not shown in the result of any queries. I doubt that the result is really sorted by the rating, however I don't know for sure.

 

Is there a way to do this that I am missing? Are the queries included in the documentation the only supported features of the REST-API?
