Camera Lens (again)

Daminion doesn't read, at this time, the camera lens info from Pentax raw files.

 

I am also using Fujifilm and Nikon cameras.

I have found that Daminion reads 'maker:Lens' and 'maker:LensType' tags for Nikon raw files, and 'exif:LensModel' tag for Fujifilm raw files.

Pentax raw files have only a 'maker:LensType' tag and no 'maker:Lens' tag.

 

Copying the 'maker:LensType' tag to 'exif:LensModel' tag will allow Daminion to get the Lens info ...

 

This can be done with exiftool outside of Daminion with the command:

 

{exiftoolpath}\exiftool.exe -P -overwrite_original_in_place -r -ext pef "-LensModel<LensType" {image_directory}

 

or inside Daminion, after creating an 'external tool' for exiftool, and applying this tool for selected images with contextual 'Open with ...'

 

This works for me and I hope this can help other 'frustrated' users ...
