alex.l
Hei I'm evaluation Daminion and just imported 400 images. All images ar Nikon Raw NEF files. All thumbnails are OK but for some images it will only show the upper 30% of the image, when showing it full screen. Zooming out still shows only 1/3 of the image. Anybody seen this problem before? I could mail the image if needed I'm running the 1.0 build 833 on W7 x64. I have FastPictureViewer Codec PAck 3.4.0.77 installed too. This hasn't been giving me problems before but maybe it clashes with the codec Daminion uses... cheers Alex
Murat
Please send us a few sample images that are incorrectly shown to support/at/daminion.net Did you crop these images in someway using a RAW editor?
Murat
Thanks for sending me your images. This is a known problem: it appears when you try to view cropped RAW images, and when cropped orientation is differ than original RAW image orientation. For example, your cropped part has Portrait orientation, while an original RAW image taken in Album orientation.
alex.l
HI That is correct I checked and it was in landscape mode but i cropped it to a portrait sized image. Is this going to be solved in the final release?
Murat
Can't say cause the feature queue is large enough but we'll try to fix it soon.
J.D. McDowell
I too am experiencing various viewer issues with NEF files. Tall cropped files are only showing the upper part of the image. Wide cropped files are displaying with odd aspect ratios (too tall, but not full screen.) All the thumbnails look fine. "This is a known problem: it appears when you try to view cropped RAW images, and when cropped orientation is differ than original RAW image orientation." This does not explain the observed behaviour in all cases. Build 875.
