Usage of Exiftool

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am working with Daminion standalone version 1.0.0 build 779.

I have set all possible date and time tags of an *.jpg image with (my private installation of) Exiftool.

Using Daminion with 'Show all Tags' not all tags are displayed by the Daminion version of Exiftool.

E.g. XMP:DateTimeOriginal is missing in my case.

I think this is because not all duplicate tags are displayed.

But I think it is better to really display all existing tags, because a duplicate tag could have another value stored.

By the way I have another feature request:

Would it be possible to display the Exiftool output also in another language - German in may case - so that the user can select English and other languages.

Best regards

Herb

What ExifTool version do you use?

Do you see the required tags if you\ll launch the ExifTool using this command:

your_private_exiftool_version.exe -g -all image.ext

BTW you can update the Daminion's ExifTool by replacing exiftool.exe file here:

C:\Program Files\Daminion Software\Daminion\MediaProcessors\ImageProcessor\ExifTool.exe

Hello Murat,

thanks for your quick reply.

I use Exiftool version 9.28.

For the attached file

- I see in Daminion under the header "---- XMP ----" only 3 XMP-tags displayed.

- I see in DOS-box for the following Exiftool command - exiftool.exe -a -g0 image.jpg - 7 XMP-tags displayed.

As far as I understand the Exiftool help the option -a is also necessary.

Best regards

Herb
