  1. Thank you. I'm looking forward to this functionality.
  2. Does the new Google AI support facial recognition? The majority of our library consists of photos of people and we need to be able to tag faces for quick searching.
  3. The web client is loading 1000 images and then stops and just shows the spinning circle.
  4. Figured it out. The correct one in my case is "user@ad.domain.com". I was missing the subdomain.
  5. It's user mapping. I've tried using "user@domain.com" and just "user". I'm not sure what name to use.
  6. I can't log into the web client. I'm using "Windows or Active Directory Security" mode.
  7. We primarily use Collections to organize our photos. Most Collections consist of multiple nested sub tags. Yesterday, an employee accidentally deleted a parent tag and, of course, it cleared every tag under it... days worth of organizing gone in an instant! When I loaded up Daminion to see for myself, there were about 1/4 of the images that still contained the sub tags, but were "orphaned", without the parent tag. Why would those images have retained the sub tags even after the parent tag was deleted? More importantly, is there no safeguard at all against this kind of mistake? No "undo
  8. Thanks. That worked as a temporary solution.
  9. I recently moved Daminion database to a new installation on a new server. Everything transferred easily but there is one subfolder missing in the folder tree. When I expand the parent folder, all subfolders are present except for this one. Rescanning does not import the folder.
  10. I'm still experiencing this problem in 4.0.1214. I'm sending you new logs.
  11. I just moved my database to a new Daminion installation in a Windows 7 VM on Windows server. Everything works fine except almost all of the thumbnails are currently blank. The thumbnails are updating at a rate of about 2 per minute. Memory and CPU usage is fine. Is there some way to make this faster? Should there be any problem running Daminion on a VM?
  12. Thanks for your help. Is there any temporary workaround in the meantime? I'm desperately needing to get some new files uploaded for coworkers.
  13. I'm trying to import some jpgs and suddenly it won't work no matter what I do. I have tried importing from my desktop and uploading to the server PC and I have tried moving them to the server first and then just adding them to the catalog without copying them. Usually if I select multiple files for import the progress indicator will zip through the first few files and then it will just hang and the spinner spins indefinitely. If I try to import just a single file, it hangs at "1" every time. I can cancel the import and it immediately stops without trouble but none of the files in the b
  14. I have a little update today. I reformatted my server PC and upgraded from 32-bit Windows 7 Pro to 64-bit. Reinstalled Daminion Server and recreated my catalog from scratch. So far I haven't had any crashing/stopping problems like I'd had before. At one point the Daminion Server Admin screen showed server status as "Error: out of memory" with a red indicator but the server was still responding to the client normally without any trouble and status returned to "Running" on it's own after a few minutes without needing to be restarted. I suppose it's possible that my previous problems were
  15. I can confirm that this is still an issue in 1196. Video of it in action: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mtk6p049spmawku/2015-04-02_15-20-20_1_1.mp4?dl=0 These are all JPGs ranging around 100KB to 800KB. It's hard to see in the video but the images flash briefly before the screen goes blank. I can go back to the previous image and then forward again and on the second attempt the image is displayed properly.
  16. I've been experimenting with different file types. .bmp, .gif, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, .doc, .docx and .indd are all working fine. Server memory usage stays between 35MB - 60MB at all times. The biggest memory problem I've encountered comes when generating thumbnails for .pdf and .psd files in large quantities, whether during import or by manual refresh (ctrl+ B). With a selection of 194 .pdf files ranging from 8KB to 19MB, forcing a thumbnail update pushes server memory usage to over 1.3GB. Once the update completes, memory remains at around 735MB until the server is restarted. I had
  17. I will try this today. This morning I tried to connect but it just says "Connecting to Server" for a bit and then: "Error opening catalog Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at PicaJet.Daminion.ClientCommon.PicaJetEnginePresenter.ConnectingServerJob(Object sender, TimeLessJobEventArgs args) in c:\DaminionAuto\Code\ClientCommon\Presenters\PicaJetEnginePresenter.cs:line 8011" Daminion.Server.exe consuming just over 400MB of memory. Restarted the server and it's working fine for the moment.
  18. Catalog contains mostly images along with a "few" other things like .psd, .indd, etc as you can see in the above image. I haven't a chance to use it much today to reproduce the memory error but it could be that several of the .psd files are 500MB-2GB in size. I'm not certain but I think the last time it crashed I was assigning tags to several of these large files. Even while working with these large files, the most I've seen Daminion server memory usage is at around 850MB.
  19. I updated to 1194 and so far the service has continued to run without shutting down and memory usage has been better than before, using around 400-500MB. However, I just got a "System.OutOfMemoryException" error when clicking on a directory "tag" in the tag tree. Thumbnails are missing and the tag tree is replaced by a big red X. NetCatalog.zip
